Balancing the needs of development and our natural resources is challenging. Chastain-Skillman’s Biological Sciences Department understands these challenges and provides solutions that will benefit the human and environmental interests in a sustainable fashion.
The wetland services we provide include delineation, monitoring, permitting, mitigation design, functional assessments, and seasonal high water level determinations. Additional specialties we offer include sand skink and gopher tortoise surveys, permitting, and capture/relocation.
Our Biological Sciences Department utilizes GIS mapping technology for our natural resource projects and as a support for other departments within the company. GIS allows us to graphically overlay pertinent data for a project and develop solutions. Projects utilizing GIS include: water use permitting, master planning, asset management, stormwater utility development, and client assistance for developing personal GIS databases.
