Chastain-Skillman, Inc. (CSI) is working with Florida Polytechnic on the planning, design, and construction of the new campus along the I-4 corridor in Lakeland, Florida. CSI was selected as a subconsultant to the Calatrava design team to coordinate and design the offsite utilities to the site. These utilities included City of Lakeland water main and sanitary force main. CSI was responsible for the design of the Campus master lift station that connects to the City of Lakeland sanitary force main. This lift station was sized for the Campus at full buildout, but the pumps were sized for the initial phases of construction. CSI was also asked to study the potential for extending reclaimed water to the Campus from the City of Auburndale. CSI developed a joint report for FP and Auburndale presenting the system improvements required, potential alignments, permitting outline, preliminary project costs, and funding possibilities. CSI has also worked with TECO and Verizon on electric and communications to the site.
