ASSESSING AND RESTORING
We are engaged by our clients to ensure the safe productivity and usability of commercial, industrial, and municipal sites.
Our skilled professionals determine the likelihood of contamination by reviewing historical documents and making trained observations on-site. When contamination is likely, we investigate and produce a plan to mitigate risks.
We regularly perform Environmental Risk Management activities for chemical and fuel storage spill sites, hazardous waste generation sites, agricultural operations, phosphate-mined lands, municipal landfills, water supply, and effluent disposal facilities.
ENVIRONMENTAL RISK
MANAGEMENT SERVICES
We are particularly proud of our ability to handle complex and difficult ESA activities involving multiple issues related to regulatory compliance, site (contamination) assessment and remediation, and risk management alternatives.
We have conducted hundreds of site assessments and hydrogeologic studies in association with chemical and fuel storage spill sites, hazardous waste generation sites, agricultural operations, phosphate-mined lands, municipal landfills, water supply, and effluent disposal facilities.
Our work in Environmental Risk Management has involved soil borings, monitor well construction, soil and groundwater sampling, aquifer testing, field analyses, soil gas mapping, contaminant transport modeling, and risk and exposure analysis.
Our geologists and environmental scientists have also developed health and safety protocols and environmental quality assurance programs.
BROWNFIELD ASSESSMENTS
To better inform your decision-making, we will create a complete assessment of a property, expansion, or redevelopment project that may be complicated by hazardous substances or contaminants.
PHASE I AND II ENVIRONMENTAL
SITE ASSESSMENTS (ESAS)
We will research the current and historical uses of a property to determine contamination liabilities as part of a Phase I Site Assessment. Additionally, as a Phase II Environmental Assessment, we will conduct a more intrusive investigation. Here, we will collect samples from the site and analyze them to determine the quantitative values of contaminants. Phase II will be completed when Phase I indicates the likelihood of contamination.
SITE (CONTAMINATION) ASSESSMENTS
A Site Assessment, or SA, will determine geologic and hydrogeologic site characteristics, the level and extent of contamination, and existing or potential environmental exposure/risk.
REMEDIAL ACTIONS
Based on our site assessment findings, our team will take steps to mitigate soil and groundwater contamination.
