Chastain-Skillman’s Lake Wales Central Avenue project was recently featured in LALtoday and the Lake Wales News. The project will add a new sheltered bike track to Central Avenue in downtown Lake Wales and is part of the Lake Wales Connected Plan.
Chastain-Skillman’s Civil Engineering team, led by Senior Project Manager Doug Forni, PE, was tasked with designing and creating the bid documents for the re-imagining of Downtown Lake Wales’ East Central Avenue, in accordance with the award-winning Lake Wales Connected Plan.
In addition to the new bike track, the conceptual plan for the project includes a new pavement configuration and the narrowing of auto lanes along East Central Avenue.
The Chastain-Skillman team is proud to play a role in the growth and development of the Lake Wales community, having provided land surveying and civil engineering design to projects in the Connected Plan including the 1st Street Streetscape Design, Park Avenue and Market Plaza, the Lake Wales Connected Trail, and the NW Neighborhood Pedestrian Implementation Plan.
