We surveyed and assessed
environmental risk for a
180-acre land development project.

Chastain-Skillman (CS) was selected to provide all land surveying services for Bonnet Springs Park, a 180-acre project site, located between W. Memorial Blvd. and George Jenkins Blvd. in Lakeland, Florida.

CS surveyors performed boundary survey, topographic survey and a tree assessment survey, in which CS survey staff located every tree on site and classified it by type and size.  CS also provided GIS mapping services and legal descriptions.

Bonnet Springs Park is a new development in Lakeland that is repurposing the land on a former railyard that has sat idle for decades.  CS’s Environmental Risk Management Department provided Phase I and Limited Phase II Environmental Site Assessment services as part of the environmental review and evaluation of the park property.

Bonnet Springs Park is projected to be completed by Spring 2021 and will provide an urban/natural park near the city center.  The parks urban elements will include a nature center, event center, playground and children’s museum.  The park’s natural elements will include a nature preserve, canopy walk, and lagoon, botanical gardens.
