Chastain-Skillman, Inc. (CS) provided surveying and civil engineering services for the 8,600-SF Student Development Center at Florida Polytechnic University.

CS’s services included topographic survey, site plan, and construction
documents for the building and pool areas. We also provided permitting,
construction observation services, record survey and drawing services.

Our engineering design included grading, drainage, and utilities for the
Student Development Center. The utilities services provided by CS included water and
sanitary sewer.

CS coordinated with the design team for dry utilities and with the electrical
engineer for service drive lighting. CS also coordinated with the geotechnical
engineer for subsurface soil exploration and evaluation.

The phoenix-shaped Student Development Center includes a gym for strength training, locker rooms, meeting rooms, office spaces, a multipurpose room, a rock
climbing wall and two pools. It was completed in February 2018.
