We surveyed and assessed
environmental risk for a
180-acre land development project in Lakeland, Florida.

Chastain-Skillman (CS) was selected to provide all land surveying services for the creation of Bonnet Springs Park, a 180-acre project site, located between W. Memorial Blvd. and George Jenkins Blvd. in Lakeland, Florida.

CS surveyors performed boundary survey, topographic survey and a tree assessment survey, in which CS survey staff located every tree on site and classified it by type and size.  CS also provided GIS mapping services and legal descriptions.

Bonnet Springs Park is a development that is located on repurposed land that was a former railyard, which sat idle for decades.  In addition to surveying services, CS also provided Phase I and Limited Phase II Environmental Site Assessment services as part of the environmental review and evaluation of the park property.

Bonnet Springs Park was completed in October 2022 and provides an urban/natural park near the city center.  The parks urban elements includes a nature center, event center, playground and children’s museum.  The park’s natural elements includes a nature preserve, canopy walk, and lagoon, botanical gardens.
