The Hardee County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) receives annual funding to construct utility infrastructure to spur development in the County. Chastain-Skillman (CS) was employed by the Hardee County IDA to design and permit a sanitary lift station, 1,100 feet of 8-inch gravity sewer, 4,500 feet of 6-inch force main, and 850 feet of 8-inch water main. The project was conceived to allow development along Florida Avenue in the northern portion of Wauchula.
Permitting included wastewater and water permits from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and right-of-way use permits from Hardee County Road and Bridge Department and the Florida Department of Transportation. CS completed the project on budget and on schedule. The facilities were turned over to the City of Wauchula to operate.
