Chastain-Skillman, Inc. (CSI) has conducted several lead-based paint evaluations for the Hillsborough County School Board. The purpose of these evaluations was to assist the School Board in identifying, assessing, and mitigating lead-based paint concerns and to promote health and safety of employees and students. Some of the schools included in these evaluations are as follows: Lockhart Elementary School, Gary Adult High School, Adult High School (Erwin Center) and Middleton Junior High School.
A variety of investigative methods and analytical technologies were employed by CSI during the evaluations. These included background/historical data collection, facility walk-through evaluations, instrumentation/air monitoring data collection, bulk sampling/analysis, air flow/pathway determinations, and employee health surveys.
As the client directs, verbal and written reports are presented and prepared for management and legal counsel. In addition, CSI has provided similar lead-based paint evaluation services to other school boards.
