Chastain-Skillman (CS) designed the City of Frostproof wastewater treatment plant in 2000. Since that time the plant was upgraded by CS from 250,000 gdp capacity to 500,000 gpd. CS performed the permitting for the original treatment plant as well as all subsequent permit modifications and renewals.
CS completed the last permit renewal in 2017. The permit renewal process consisted of an engineering evaluation of the existing facility and analysis of current and future capacity. CS completed the permit applications, Operations and Maintenance Performance Report, and Capacity Analysis Reports. The permit application package was submitted to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) in 2017. FDEP issued the permit in June 2017 without any requests for clarification or information. The City’s wastewater treatment plant permit is now valid through 2022.
